General Notes: Husband - James Hamilton

He was a farmer in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, owning a tract of one hundred acres in Ohio township. During the War of 1812 he was in active service, and upon its conclusion returned to the peaceful avocation with which he had been occupied previously. He affiliated with the Whig party, and was an earnest member of the Presbyterian Church.
