General Notes: Husband - Joseph Warren Postlewait

He was born on the old farm of his father in Ringgold township, where his early boyhood was spent. Later he lived on a Perry township farm, helping with the agricultural work during the summer seasons and lumbering in the winter time, also rafting the product of his operations in the latter line to market. He inherited his father's Indiana County property, comprising farms in North Mahoning township later occupied by his sons, Fitz John and Jesse Scott, and there engaged in general farming and the operation of a coal mine until his death.
On political questions he was allied with the Democrats.
