General Notes: Husband - John Graft

He was a tailor by trade, and resided many years in Somerset, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, his native county, but then moved to the neighborhood of Scottdale, Fayette County. He was a pensioner of the War of 1812, in consequence of a wound received while in service. [HWC 1906 iii, 555]

He was born "east of the mountains," but spent the greater part of his life in Fayette and Westmoreland counties of Pennsylvania. He was a tailor by trade, and served in the army during the War of 1812. Politically he was a Republican. [HWC 1906 ii, 547]
