General Notes: Husband - John Hammill

He came to America [from Ireland?] in 1761. Tradition reports that their location was the tenth in the Ligonier settlement [Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania]. They lived about six miles northwest of Ligonier and two southwest of Palmer's fort. He was drafted in the Revolution and his son Robert served out his term, as well as a brother Hugh's and one for himself, in all over three years.
