RECENT DEATHS
Mrs. Samuel Latham.
Mrs. Mercy L. Latham, widow of the late Samuel T. Latham, who was stricken with apoplexy over a week ago, died at the family home at an early hour Wednesday morning without regaining consciousness. Mrs. Latham, whose maiden name was Mercy L. Gadsby, was aged 67 years and six months. She was married on Nov. 29, 1879, to Samuel T. Latham, whose death occurred nearly three years ago, following an accident in his barn. The deceased was a woman whose devotion to her family and home was a outstanding characteristic that endeared her to all who knew her and her death will be mourned by a wide circle of friends and acquaintances.
She is survived by five children: John T. and George E., of Stoneboro; Mrs. J. W. Brest and Mrs. T. B. Jenkins, of Sandy Lake; and Frank, at home. One daughter, Mrs. Howard Perrine, died in 1907. Seven grandchildren also survive: Evelyn Perrine, who made her home with her grandparents; Leona and Zelma Perrine, Edward, Samuel and Jane Elizabeth Brest and John Edward Jenkins.
The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. F. H. Frampton, a former family pastor, this (Friday) afternoon at the residence at 2 o'clock, assisted by Rev. P. N. Taylor. Interment will be made in the family lot in Oak Hill cemetery.
