He was reared on a farm; in 1868 he engaged in teaming through the oil country, and in the transportation of oil upon Oil creek. In 1876 he returned to the homestead, and has since been engaged in farming and oil producing. Mr. Leslie is a supporter of the Re­publican party, and a member of the I. O. O. F. [HVC 1890, 974]
