Mr. and Mrs. Carl G. Gadsby To Mark Golden Wedding Year
Mr. and Mrs. Carl G. Gadsby of Stoneboro RD 2 will be honored for their 50th wedding anniversary at an open reception Sunday, Dec. 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Irwin Presbyterian Church, Stoneboro RD 2. Hosts for the occasion will be their children, Mr. and Mrs. Orville L. Gadsby and family and Mr. and Mrs. Carl E. Gadsby and family.
All relatives and friends are invited to attend the reception. The honorees have requested that gifts be omitted.
Mrs. Gadsby, is the former Sarah Ellen Reese, daughter of the late Lincoln and Mary Ellen Messerall Reese of Cochranton In later years the Reese family moved to the Sandy Lake area.
The anniversary couple was married Dec. 24, 1925, at Franklin.
Mr. Gadsby is a retired farmer. His wife also is retired after teaching school for 34 years in Mercer and Venango Counties.
The Gadsbys have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
