General Notes: Husband - Earl William Allison

---

He wanted to become an engineer in his youth. His parents encouraged him to become a banker instead. He was involved in several banks in Iowa, South Dakota and Minnesota. After the bank failures in the late 20's he moved to California. He started to work for Douglas Aircraft ending up in charge of the experimental toolroom. As far as his work was concerned this was the happiest time of his life. He retired at the age of 76, eleven years after the normal retirement age of 65. For many years he was the oldest member of the Masonic lodge in Long Beach.
