Shirleysburg, Huntingdon Co, PA

He obtained his education in the public schools of the day and followed the farmer's occupation throughout his entire life, owning and cultivating land in Hart's Log Valley. He fought in the American army in the War of 1812. He was prominent politically in the county, and was a member of the Reformed church.
