General Notes: Husband - James Morrison
He settled at Frankfort Springs, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, in 1828, and engaged in mercantile business there.
He grew to manhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the course of his youthful life being that of most boys, mainly occupied with attendance at school. Upon attaining his majority he moved to Frankfort Springs, Beaver County, where he married and ever after remained. As clerk in his father's store he had gained a practical and comprehensive knowledge of the mercantile business, having served in all its departments in order that his experience might be the more thorough, and in his new home that was the business he followed. He continued in this line until his death, which occurred at a good old age. With his wife he was a member of the Presbyterian church, and in his political sympathies, he was first a Whig and later a Republican. He was at one time auditor of the county, and for many years was known to the country-side as the postmaster of Frankfort Springs, the post-office occupying a portion of his store.
