Former Knox Resident Dies
PERRYOPOLIS — Funeral services were conducted Thurs­day for Charles F. Exley, 74, of Perryopolis, former Knox resident who died March 20 in the Uniontown Hospital.
Born February 21, 1903, near Knox, he was the son of Fred and Minta Wentling Exley.
He resided in the Knox area until 1943.
Mr. Exley was married to the former Grace Quigley who preceded him in death in February, 1972.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Lorraine) Koresko of Turtle Creek and Mrs. David (Dorothy) Yard of Waterford; two sons, Lee Exley of Perryopolis and James Exley of Austin, Tex.; three sisters; Mrs. Frances Buck, Mrs. Kathleen Murray and Mrs. Virginia Shick, all of Oakridge; a brother, Russell Exley of Knox RD; and 12 grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Laird Exley, and a sister, Mable Emrick.
Interment was in Deer Creek Cemetery at Cheswick.
