General Notes: Husband - Joseph Steele Dornon
He served four years in the army during the Civil War, was captured, and for fourteen consecutive months suffered imprisonment in Libby, Belle Isle, Andersonville and Savannah. He survived all the hardships and returned home, but when gold was found in the extreme northwest, he was one of those who went in quest of it and died in Dawson City, Alaska, during the early period of the excitement
