General Notes: Husband - Stewart Davis

He was born in Preston, New London County, Connecticut. He migrated to what is now Blacklick township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, in 1808. In 1821, he removed to Blairsville, where in the same year he commenced his career as justice of the peace (the first in the village), which only terminated at his death. He taught school and farmed and served as commissioner and commissioner's clerk, before coming to Blairsville.
