After the death of his brother-in-law, Elisha Davis, he went, in 1818, from Indiana County, Pennsylvania, to New York, and brought back his sister's family, consisting of six children, to Silas Davis's, where they made their home. Mr. Davis was three weeks in transporting the family to their new home.
