General Notes: Husband - John Davis


He learned the trade of a wagon maker at Harmony, in Butler County, Pennsylvania, and followed the trade there till removing to Mercer County, when he settled in the village of London and established himself in business as a wagon manufacturer. Later he bought a farm near London and then devoted a part of his time to the farm and still worked in the shop a part of the time until his death. He was postmaster at London several years.
