General Notes: Husband - Rev. Homer Bell Davis


He spent his early days driving team and farming until 1899, when he entered Mount Union College at Alliance, OH, where he remained till 1902. In the fall of 1902 he entered Allegheny College, at Meadville, PA, and in September, 1904, he entered Grove City College, where he graduated on June 17, 1905. After his graduation he was assigned to the pastorate of the Simpson Methodist E. Church at New Castle, PA, where he served with marked success until September, 1906, when he was assigned to the pastorate of the church at Eau Claire, Butler County.
He was residing at Ridgway, PA, in 1919.

He was widely known as a Methodist Minster. He attended Allegheny College and Mt. Union Seminary from 1889 to 1902, also a graduate of Grove City College in 1905. He received his Hon. Doctor of Divinity Degree from Grove City College in 1938. Rev. Davis was ordained a Deacon in 1908 by Bishop Hamilton and an Elder by Bishop Neely in 1910. In 1944 he retired after serving forty years as a Pastor. He died at the home of his twin sister Mrs. Cora E. Jacobs, at the age of 74.


General Notes: Wife - Clara Fidella Sproull


She graduated from Slippery Rock Normal in 1894. After her graduation she taught music and did evangelistic work until her marriage.
