General Notes: Husband - Elliott Davis

He was employed in team­ing for the Jane and Bullion iron furnaces. He and his wife commenced house-keeping on the farm of John Witherup, staying two years. He then moved to the Widow Scott's farm, in Victory Township, living there five years, again moving to the farm of John Witherup, living here some five years more. When the oil excitement broke out at Bullion he built a house on the farm of his father, Wm. Davis, where he lived until the spring of 1889. He then moved to the farm of Francis and Mary Witherup, where he lived some seven years more; he then moved to the farm of James B. Wither­up, remaining two years, again moving to the river, where he took up his residence in the dwelling of his wife's parents, remaining there until the fall of 1905, when he moved to DeSale, Butler County.
