General Notes: Husband - Robert Curry

He was a native of Scotland, who emigrated to America in 1782. On his voyage across the ocean he had for a fellow-passenger Miss Isabella McKenzie, who had left the Highlands of Scotland to find another home across the sea. From strangers they became acquaintances, and upon their arrival in America were married. They came at once to the Monongahela country, and lived for a time at Fort Pitt. He was a cooper, and thinking to improve the prospects for himself and family, they removed in 1790 to Wheeling, Virginia, settling near the fort then located there. Eventually they removed to Cross Creek village, Washington County, Pennsylvania, where they lived many years.
Their children were eight daughters and four sons.

He immigrated to Pennsylvania, locating in Allegheny County, near the present site of Allegheny, and was often obliged to flee to a neighboring blockhouse from the Indians.
