General Notes: Husband - James Gordon
He served as sheriff of Indiana County, Pennsylvania, and while acting in such capacity made the arrest of J. L. Gillis for the abduction of Morgan, of anti-Masonic fame. He was a delegate to the convention which met at Harrisburg to further the interests of the county in relation to the extension of the Pennsylvania Central Railroad.
