General Notes: Husband - John Bell Cook


His early education was received in the common schools. He learned the business of farming, and resided with his father until his marriage, and then moved to a farm on the Monongahela River near Fayette City, Pennsylvania, where he resided sixteen years. Here all of his children were born.
He never held a political office outside of the township, and never sought one. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church for many years.
