General Notes: Husband - James Cook


He followed farming until September, 1862, when he entered the army for service in the Civil War. He died at City Point, Virginia, from injuries received in the service. His remains were removed to Rehoboth Presbyterian Cemetery.

He enlisted in Company F, Eighteenth Pennsylvania Cavalry, was taken prisoner and exchanged. He was thrown by a horse and instantly killed at City Point, Virginia.
