Salem Twp, Westmoreland Co, PA

The Sloan family were Scotch-Irish pioneers in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and of the Presbyterian faith. They removed from Lancaster County and located in the neighborhood of New Salem about the time of the revolutionary war.

He and his wife had a family of twelve [thirteen] children.

The Christy (Christie) family were Scotch-Irish pioneers in Westmoreland County, PA, and of the Presbyterian faith. They located in the neighborhood of New Salem prior to the revolutionary war.
