General Notes: Husband - George A. Carner

He was raised in the area that is now White Deer township, Union County, Pennsylvania. On August 30, 1813, he enlisted as a soldier in the War of 1812. He is described as five feet nine inches tall, dark complected, blue eyes and light hair. He was discharged in 1818. Shortly after marriage, he and his wife moved to Ferguson township, Centre County, and around 1827, they left Centre County and settled in Rockland township, Venango County. George moved his family to Cranberry township, Butler County, in 1843, where he worked as a small farmer. In 1853, they moved to Connequenessing township, Butler County where he owned thirty-four acres. He remained there the rest of his life.

General Notes: Wife - Elisabeth Schoch

The cemetery book gives her date of death as May 11. It also seems to place her in Pine Hill Cemetery as well as Domer Chapel Cemetery.
