General Notes: Husband - John Lenfestey

The Lenfestey family came from France, settled first on Long Island, New York, then moved to Cambridge, Ohio, where they lived on the bank of the Monongahela river, later on First avenue (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania?).

He was born in France and was brought to America in his early youth. Later he settled in Pittsburgh, and in the first directory of Pittsburgh, 1815, we find: "Lenfestey, John, cooper, Water between Wood and Smithfield." He and his wife were members of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He conducted the singing in the church.

General Notes: Wife - Sarah Carlow
