General Notes: Husband - Samuel P. Wilson

He spent his early years at home on the farm, and then engaged in the mercantile business, continuing until 1871. He was postmaster at Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, from 1865 until 1871, and for several years he was treasurer of the Union Agricultural Association. In the fall of 1871 he purchased a farm near Gordonsville, Virginia, and in March following he moved his family there. In November, 1887, he sold out at Gordonsville and moved his family to Chinook, Montana, and stayed there until 1890, when he returned to Burgettstown.
