General Notes: Husband - David Emery


He was born in what is now Lawrence County, PA, and removed with his parents into Butler County, when he was about two years old. He grew up in Butler County, and taught school for fifteen years and carried on farming during this period, removing in the spring of 1857 to the vicinity of Greenville, Mercer County, and in 1872 located in the borough.
He and his wife reared seven children, all of whom were still living in 1888.
