General Notes: Husband - Robert T. Findley

He attended the common schools until he was sixteen years old and afterward engaged in the stock business, which he never abandoned. He was the owner at an early day of a saw-mill, with water power, manufactured lumber and shipped it down the streams to Pittsburgh, where he sold it. He engaged in the mercantile business in Sheakleyville, Pennsylvania, in 1874, and after several years of successful operation, he sold out and took an interest in the planing mill of Thorn, Byers & Co., at Mercer, Pennsylvania. He was elected county commissioner of Mercer County in 1884 by the Democratic party and served with entire satisfaction to all. [HMC 1888, 663]
For a number of years he served as an officer of the Stoneboro Agricultural Society.
He and his wife were members of the United Presbyterian Church. [HMC 1909, 981]
