General Notes: Husband - Dr. Asher Daniel Miller, M.D.

His literary education was obtained at the Greensburg schools, the Indiana State Normal, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and the Washington and Jefferson College. He received his medical education at the medical department of the University of Pennsylvania, at Philadelphia, from which he was graduated in May, 1885. He immediately began the practice of his profession in Manor, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, remaining there until May 1, 1894, a year after his marriage, when he removed to South Dakota, with the expectation of taking up his residence there. He resided at Viberg for a month, then at Bearsford until September, 1894, but after the death of Amelia Hoffer, his step-daughter, returned to Manor, Pennsylvania, where he then remained and practiced his profession with the exception of three years, from 1895 to 1898, when he was resident physician at the Keeley Institute, at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Miller was one of the active Republicans of Westmoreland County, and served as a member of the Republican county committee. He was for several years school director in his district. He was a member of the K. of G. E., and A. I. O. K. of M., at Manor, Pennsylvania.

In 1915 he was the candidate of his party for treasurer of Westmoreland county, and was elected by a plurality of twenty-two hundred.
