General Notes: Husband - Henry Temple

After his marriage he settled on a farm adjoining the old Temple homestead, purchasing one hundred acres, which he cleared and cultivated. Some time later he purchased an additional sixty acres and still later another plot of fifty-three acres. He had acquired a fairly good education, and in his earlier years taught school for a time. He served as an elder in the United Presbyterian Church at Raccoon, and was generally active in church affairs.
