General Notes: Husband - Richard Stewart

Born in Ireland, he was brought to America when seven years old, arriving at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and living in the state of Delaware until after his marriage. They first came to Venango County, Pennsylvania, about 1796, locating on French creek, among the first settlers there, not far from where Utica is now situated, remaining there a few years and then removing to Union Township, Crawford County. On his return to Venango County in 1817 he made a settlement near Cherry-tree, and he lived to the age of ninety years. His first wife passing away in 1802, he remarried.
