General Notes: Husband - James Henry

He received his early education in the county schools, a severe training as he had to go a great distance. Until he married he was a hatter, and for that reason was known as James Henry, the hatter. After his marriage he cleared land and built a house where later his children were born. Before his death he bought another farm where his son later resided, and to this he moved.

He and his wife had a family of nine children, six of whom were still living in 1887. [HCC 1887, BP xxii]
He and his wife were the parents of four sons and four daughters, of whom three daughters and a son were still living in 1913. [GPHAV, 589]
