General Notes: Husband - Francis Boyle

He was born at Ballyney Hinch, County Down, Ireland, and received an excellent education. For a time he was a school teacher, and he was the leader in athletic sports among the young men of his neighborhood. About 1795, while his children were still small, he emigrated to America with his family, and purchased a farm at Glade Mills, Butler County, Pennsylvania.

Besides the three sons listed, he had three daughters.
