General Notes: Husband - Robert M. Boyd


He received his education at the public schools. In 1850 he engaged in steamboating. In 1867 he became a part owner of the steamer Elizabeth, and some years later became its captain. He was a member of Stephen Bayard Lodge, No. 526, F. & A. M. The family were members of the Presbyterian Church.
