General Notes: Husband - A. Byram Blackburn


He was the owner of a hundred acre farm and was a very successful farmer.
He and his wife had a family of ten children.

He was reared in Rostraver and Sewickleys townships of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where he attended the rural schools of his day. When of age he selected as a life pursuit farming, to which he had been reared and trained. He was a democrat of the Jeffersonian type but no politician or aspirant for office. He was a trustee of the Methodist church of which his wife was a member and regular attendant. [BHCWC, 570]
