General Notes: Husband - Dr. Lewis Sweitzer


He attended a medical college in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and afterwards pursued his medical studies in Paris, France. He practiced medicine a short time at Springtown, Bucks County, and moved to Brownsville, Fayette County, in 1808, entering immediately upon the practice of his profession, in which he maintained an honorable position up to the time of his death. Dr. Sweitzer was interested in the organization of the Union Medical Society of Fayette County in 1810.
