General Notes: Husband - John Urmson

He came to the United States in 1829, the sailing vessel upon which he took passage landing at Philadelphia on Independence day of that year. He soon located at New Brighton, Connecticut, where he engaged in coal mining as superintendent of the mines controlled at that place by General Joel Curtis. He then bought a farm in Hickory township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania, near the borough of Sharon, where he passed his last days. In politics he was a Democrat and in his religious faith a Baptist.
