General Notes: Husband - Anthony Thompson


He was born in Centre township, Butler County, PA, and always followed farming. He received a good common school education, and after attaining his majority he filled nearly all of the township offices. Politically, he was a Republican, and in religion, he was an adherent of the Methodist Episcopal church. His homestead was first settled by Simon Young, Sr.; was bought by Moses Thompson about 1845, and was purchased by Anthony Thompson from his father about 1872, since which time it has been his permanent home.
