General Notes: Husband - Solomon Schwartz

He was reared on the farm, and educated in Adams County, Pennsylvania, and was a farmer all his life. Politically he was a Democrat, and filled many township offices. In 1881 he was nominated for county commissioner, having twelve competitors, but he was elected, and had the satisfaction of seeing the county debt paid and money in the treasury when his term expired.
