General Notes: Husband - Dr. Cyrus Clay Reichard

He received his early education at Hagerstown, Maryland. In 1867 he entered the Chicago Medical college, the medical department of the North Western university, and graduated in 1870. He located near Des Moines, Iowa, where he remained two years. He then removed to Monongahela City, Pennsylvania, remaining there three years, and moving to Brownsville in 1875, where he remained in active practice for many years.
He was a member of the Fayette County Medical society, having served as president; also was a member of the State Medical Society and American Medical Association. He served as surgeon-in-chief of the 10th Pennsylvania Regiment for five years, and the Pittsburgh riots of 1877 occurred during his term of service.
