General Notes: Husband - William Ray

He came to Butler County, Pennsylvania, in 1800, and settled about two miles west of the village of Fairview, where he entered a tract of 400 acres of government land. He was one of the first settlers of that vicinity, and resided on his farm down to his death. He had a family of five children, John being the eldest.
