General Notes: Husband - Job Packer


He and his wife were both Quakers. They came to Clarion County, Pennsylvania, in 1827, and settled on Clarion river at the mouth of Deer creek. Here Mr. Packer was in the salt and lumber business, having the first salt well, and taking up four hundred and forty acres of land from the government. He died shortly after the civil war.
