General Notes: Husband - Isaac Mitchell


He was reared in Washington Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania, on a farm that was long in possession of the family. He made farming his business and was very successful, owning 300 acres of fine land besides other property. He moved to Waynesburg in 1877, after which time he lived a retired life. Mr. Mitchell's political views were Democratic, and he served two terms as overseer of the poor of Greene County.
