General Notes: Husband - Anthony Nicely

He was born on the family homestead which in the course of time he inherited. Of his six hundred acres he brought two hundred under cultivation, erecting barns and outbuildings, raising good stock and in all respects greatly improving the place. In politics Mr. Nicely was a Whig and it is said of him that he never missed an election. The family were members of the Lutheran church.
