General Notes: Husband - Jonas Mathews Nelson


Civil War: he enlisted, October 10, 1862, in the Tenth Pennsylvania Cavalry, and with his regiment participated in many important engagements, being in active service until August 19, 1864, when he was captured by the enemy and confined either in Libby, Andersonville or Salisbury prisons until paroled in February, 1865. He died in the hospital, at Wilmington, NC.
