General Notes: Husband - Daniel Myers

He was born in Virginia and was about four years of age when his parents located in Muddy Creek township, Butler county, Pennsylvania. He grew up on the farm, and at the age of eighteen commenced learning the stonemason's trade with John Moon, which he followed for some years, finally engaging in the business for himself. He purchased 100 acres of the original Myers tract, erected buildings and other improvements, and engaged in farming in connection with his trade. He was a colonel in the old State Militia, took quite an interest in public affairs, and served as collector, assessor, auditor, supervisor and school director in his township. In politics, he was a Whig. He was reared In the Lutheran church, but in later life united with the Methodist Episcopal church, and was a class leader in that denomination.
