General Notes: Husband - James Mehard
He brought his family to America, came to Pennsylvania, and located at Harmony, in Butler County. He lived there for some years, and then moved to Wurtemburg, where his death occurred in advanced age, and he was buried in the cemetery attached to the United Presbyterian Church.
He departed this life when he was aged eighty-six years.
He came to America from County Antrim, Ireland, about the year 1816, settling first in the city of Philadelphia, and shortly afterward at Wurtemburg, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.
He emigrated from Larne, County of Antrim, Ireland, to Pennsylvania, in 1818. He was a millwright by trade, and although his education was such as he gave himself, he had cultivated a mind that was naturally strong and sound, to a degree that enabled him to exert a wide influence.
