General Notes: Husband - John S. Patterson

He was born on the family homestead in Mercer County, Pennsylvania, and received his education at the township schools. He learned the carpenter trade and also stationary engineering, but was principally engaged in farming, owning his father's homestead. He voted the Prohibition ticket, and was been instrumental in erecting the Hazzard Union Church, of which he was one of the trustees. He and his wife were members of Fairview Methodist Episcopal Church, and he was also a trustee of that church.
