General Notes: Husband - Jesse Lionel Prather

He got the nickname, "Tom" from a German pack peddler who lived along the Ohio River named Tommy George. People would ask Jesse what his name was and he would say "Tommy" because he thought Jesse was a girl's name. He was named for Jesse Alcorn. Jesse moved to the Gorsuch farm in March of 1912 with his parents and lived in Cherrytree Twp., Venango County, Pennsylvania, all his life except for several years he lived in Chester, West Virginia, immediately after his marriage.

She spent her last two years of her life in "Sunset Manor" Rest Home in Titusville, PA. Prior to this she had lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Betty Prather Ford and Dean Ford, in their home in Pittsburgh for 20 years after the death of her husband.
