General Notes: Husband - Edward Mansfield


He attended public school, and spent one term at the Southwestern Normal School, California, Pennsylvania. For eighteen months he kept books, first for the McClure Coke Company, at Bessemer, Pennsylvania, afterward for C. Jutt & Company. Then he entered the employment of J. Wilson an undertaker at Fayette City; seven years later Mr. Wilson sold out to Mr. Growler and Mr. Mansfield went into business for himself, in 1904, on Main street, Fayette City. He belonged to Gumbart Lodge, No. 252, Free and Accepted Masons. He was a Democrat, and was a member of the school board and town clerk.
