He lived in or near York, Pennsylvania, and died on the Ludwig farm east of Greensburg, Westmoreland County, as he was on his way to Ohio to take up land which he was entitled to as an officer of the revolutionary war.

On the death of her husband she remained at the Ludwig farm east of Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and there brought up her children.
